Although the company has historically concentrated on the acquisition of operating properties with value-add potential, Capital and Counties Development Group has been established to build a regional platform that will give Capital and Counties enhanced capability to redevelop existing shopping centers and also substantial capabilities to develop new assets in California and throughout the Western U.S.
The new division, Capital & Counties Development Group (CCDG) will pursue neighborhood and community shopping center development opportunities but, will also look at regional mall development, redevelopment and site reutilization opportunities where adding density (including housing) is appropriate.
